What’s New in the ICU? Guidelines for Parenteral Nutrition Support in the Critically Ill

Liz joined Fresenius Kabi USA’s parenteral nutrition division as a Medical Science Liaison in 2023 serving the Midwest and Mountain West regions. Fresenius Kabi is a global healthcare company that specializes in lifesaving medicines and technologies for infusion, transfusion, and clinical nutrition that are used to help care for critically and chronically ill patients.  In her role on the Fresenius Kabi U.S. Medical Affairs team Liz establishes and maintains scientific relationships with academic researchers, physicians, and clinicians; develops and provides educational materials and presentations; and responds to product and pharmaceutical inquiries. 

Liz is a physician assistant and registered dietitian with over 10 years of clinical experience.  Prior to joining Fresenius Kabi, Liz worked as a physician assistant (PA) in the Advocate Aurora Healthcare system in both adult general surgery, and most recently she cared for patients of all ages in emergency medicine.  Before her career as a PA, she spent 3 years as a nutrition support clinician managing enteral and parenteral nutrition in critical care units along with covering general medical floors at the University of Arizona Medical Center (now Banner University Medical Center in Tucson).  

Liz obtained her Bachelor of Science in nutrition and dietetics from the University of Arizona and completed her dietetic internship at the University of California San Francisco Medical Center. She received her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. Liz is a member of the American Society of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (ASPEN) including several state chapters, the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, and the American Academy of Physician Associates (AAPA).
