  • Congratulations to our Member of the Month, Major Emily De Leon! Major Emily De Leon, DSc, MPAS, PA-C, is a General Surgery PA currently stationed at Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas, Nevada. She graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Behavioral Sciences (psychology). During her Air Force career, she has been stationed at 8 bases from coast to coast and has deployed twice. One of her most memorable assignments was when she was stationed at the Pentagon working with Wounded Warriors, which ultimately inspired her to pursue medicine. She attended the military’s PA school (IPAP) and graduated with a second Bachelor and Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies. She recently completed her Doctorate of Science Degree in Physician Assistant Studies at Baylor University as well as her Surgical PA Fellowship at San Antonio Military Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. Prior to becoming a Surgical PA, she was a Primary Care Manager in family medicine for 3 years.

  • Congratulations to our student liaison, Brennon Taylor, who graduates this month from the Yale PA Program Online! He will be starting a surgical PA residency at Norwalk Hospital/Yale School of Medicine this year. We are so proud of your hard work and know you will have a bright future as a surgical PA! On that note, we would also like to congratulate ALL of our student members who are graduating this month! Please come to our virtual networking events if you are looking to connect with PAs around the country and open doors for jobs in the future. Our professional development team is working on some exciting things for our student members. We are working on increasing outreach and we are also creating a surgical rotation pocket guide for our members. Keep an eye out for the guide in the coming months.
